The 4th annual Soul Buddyz National Congress took place in the Western Cape, at Goudini Spa from the 4th - 9th December 2008. The objective of the Soul Buddyz National Congress is to provide a forum to increase Club members' participation in the Soul Buddyz Club programme. It is also aimed at providing a platform for the Club members, facilitators and key stakeholders to network, share experiences and to learn skills. It is also an opportunity for the children to have fun and an opportunity for us as an organisation to interact with the children face to face, to learn from them and to get ideas and information that could inform future strategy and activities.
Currently Z2A Events are busy organising the 5th National Congress which will take place in Mpumalanga at Forever Resorts Badplaas from the 9th - 14th of December 2009. This will be our 4th consecutive conference, all in different provinces, and we really feel part of the Soul Buddyz family.Soul Buddyz is a worthwhile cause and gives us hope for our country. The experiences, considering the circumstances some of these kids come from, are second to none. It was great (a real tears in the eyes experience) to see some of these kids entering an airport, traveling by plane and getting three full meals per day. I can just imagine the stories being told once back at home!
These projects are the ones we live for - making a difference, in this particular one, a huge one, to people's lives. We just love it!
